Effects of Electric Parameters on Micro-morphology of Micro-arc Oxidation on TC4 Titanium Alloy

Ceramic coatings were fabricated on the surface of TC4 titanium alloy by micro-arc oxidation(MAO) method in Na2CO3-Na2SiO3 solution.The influence of different electric parameters on micro-morphology,thickness and roughness of coatings were investigated.The results show that,when the voltage is fixed,the increasing pulse-width and inter-pulse could improve the compactness of coatings.The decreasing voltage,pulse-width and increasing inter-pulse could reduce the thickness and roughness.
