Research Progress in Correlation between Nucleophosmin (NPM/B23) and Endometrial Cancer

Nucleophosmin(NPM/B23) is a multifunctional protein that shuttles between the nucleolus,nuclear and cytoplasm.Nucleophosmin participates in the biosynthesis of the ribosome and has a function of controlling the centrosome duplication.It regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis and participates in the occurrence of tumor through a variety of signaling pathways.In recent years,the study of NPM/B23 mostly focuses on the relationship between NPM/B23 gene mutations and blood tumor.Many studies have shown that NPM/B23 is overexpressed in some solid tumors and is closely related to the onset and development of tumor.NPM/B23 may be one of the tumor markers of many solid tumors,but its role in endometrial carcinoma has rarely been reported.Here is to make a review of the research progress in nucleophosmin and its correlation with endometrial cancer.
