摘要
Recent correspondence in this journal has highlighted that accurate determination of hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype/subtype is very important for providing valuable insights into diagnosis and establishing an effective HCV treatment regimen of direct-acting antivirals. 1 Bradshaw D. Mbisa J.L. Geretti A.M. Healy B.J. Cooke G.S. Foster G.R. et al. Consensus recommendations for resistance testing in the management of chronic hepatitis C virus infection: Public Health England HCV Resistance Group. Chronic HCV infection can lead to cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, liver transplantation and liver failure and has a significant impact on morbidity and mortality worldwide. According to recent statistics, approximately 58 million people worldwide are living with chronic HCV infection and 290,000 people die each year from HCV-related liver disease. 2 Li J. Pang L. Liu Z.
