摘要
Long-wave multiphonon-assisted emission of rare-earth ions provides broadband gain which is essential for the generation of few-optical-cycle pulses. A phonon-terminated Kerr-lens mode-locked Tm,Ho:CALGO laser generates 37-fs pulses with an ultrabroadband spectrum (1870 - 2337 nm).
