By weaving Shape memory alloy (SMA) into three-dimensional woven, the composite has the potential to control stiffness and vibration performance, which is crucial for customizing the required performance for the final application. To shorten the research period of testing the trend of stiffness and vibration performance of such fabrics with temperature, it is a simple and feasible method to use the DMA method to test the performance of 3D woven containing SMA wires. This paper uses the improved VARI method to prepare 3D woven composite samples suitable for the DMA test. The variation trend of stiffness and vibration performances of 3D woven containing SMA wires at different temperatures and frequencies are measured. Compared with the three-point bending method, the dual-cantilever method is more suitable for testing fabric composites with SMA wires. The stiffness of the sample increases in the temperature range of SMA wire transformation. And the stiffness performances of Shape Memory Alloy Hybrid Composite (SMAHC) at different frequencies are mainly affected by the matrix. Finally, a model for evaluating the variable stiffness efficiency of SMAHC is proposed.
