PURPOSE: To provide a theoretical basis for winter sports athletes' injury and disease prevention by summarizing the occurrence of injuries and illnesses of the national training team athletes of the Winter Olympics in the 2018-2019 training season, summarizing its time distribution and event distribution regular characteristics. METHODS: Through statistics racing events (Figure skating, Aerials, Snowmobile, Steel frame Snowmobile, Ski jumping, Biathlon, Alpine skiing, Cross-country skiing) and competition events (Ice hockey, Curling, the injury situation of the athletes of the Winter Olympics, statistics, and analysis of its time distribution and event distribution characteristics. RESULTS: 1) Basic situation: In the 2018-2019 season training, a total occurred 928 injuries and diseases and the injury rate of male and female athletes was basically the same. 2) Time distribution: In the entire training season, the injury incidence rate shows a "double hump" characteristic, there will be two peak periods, September (summer training, 10.8%) and January-February (season, 24.2% and 15.5%), the reason why summer training happened higher damage is that the accumulation of workload and the mastery and optimization of new skills led to a gradual increase in injuries, and reaching a peak altitude in September; after entering the season, the continuous accumulation of fatigue caused the injury rate to reach its peak in competition. 3) Events distribution: Among them, steel frame snowmobiles (18.5%), figure skating (11.7%), snowmobiles (11.1%), and alpine skiing (7.4%) are the projects with a higher incidence, and all of them are racing items in winter events. CONCLUSIONS: There are more training injuries in the Winter Olympics season and the probability of injury is basically the same for male and female athletes; Injuries are likely to occur in September and January to February; Steel-framed snowmobiles in racing events are more likely to be injured.
