Direct palladium-catalyzed C-H arylation of bioactive triazolyl-C-nucleosides on a key position of the heterocyclic base

Regarding the potential of nucleosides in therapeutics, especially as antiviral and anticancer drugs, the expansion of the chemical space of such molecules appears urgent. Herein, a direct palladium-catalyzed C-H arylation of the triazolyl pseudonucleobase of bioactive C-nucleosides is described with 14 examples bearing different aryl moieties and decorations on the nucleoside core.
