We synthesized a single-phase phosphor, which exhibited a tunable red emission, by controlling concentration. phosphors that have a low concentration and emit red light could be suitable for use in white light emitting diodes, and phosphors with a higher concentration that emit a deep red light at around could be an energy down-converting material for use in some other applications. Time-resolved photoluminescence was also examined as a function of concentration and suggests an energy transfer between activators from different local structures.
