摘要
Different clay minerals were employed to prepare clay minerals/BiVO4 hybrid pigments to comparatively study their color properties in our study. In comparison with the present color controlling of bismuth yellow using other expensive metal elements, the color of clay minerals/BiVO4 hybrid pigments could be facilely tuned by clay minerals. The color properties of hybrid pigments prepared using attapulgite, halloysite and kaolin were superior to that of sepiolite and montmorillonite based on CIELAB 1976 analysis. More importantly, incorporation of clay minerals also obviously improved high temperature resistance of bismuth yellow, especially halloysite and kaolin. This study provided a promising strategy to design and control the color of bismuth yellow with excellent thermal stability.
