摘要
The increasing use of Ti-5553 for aeronautical high-performance components has advanced the implementation of cryogenic cooling strategies. In this study, a tool wear experiment for machining Ti-5553 with uncoated cemented carbide was conducted under cryogenic cooling. The microscopic wear morphologies of the cutting tools were observed. Hence, a two-dimensional tool wear map, including three cutting elements, is proposed, and constructed. The mapping relationship between tool wear and the cutting parameters under LN2 cryogenic was explored, and a method for determining the safe cutting area is presented.
