摘要
The temperature and the oxygen partial pressure dependencies of the electronic conductivity of step) solid solutions were measured by dc polarization using a Hebb-Wagner's ion-blocking cell. The main charge carrier was electron for ceria-containing compositions in a whole range of measured oxygen partial pressure to 3]. With increasing concentration, the electronic conductivity drastically increased for slightly decreased for and showed a maximum at The electronic conductivity is proportional to at the higher oxygen partial pressures and at the lower oxygen partial pressures. It is suggested that ions in solid solutions with low concentration were reduced more easily. The compositional dependence of the electronic conductivity can be explained by the reduction of to and the stabilization of ion in the structure. © 2001 The Electrochemical Society.
