Abstract Presented article is focused on the design of a suitable device for a simple demonstration of Lenz’s law of induction for theoretical and practical lessons in electromagnetism. Two simple experiments with the device are proposed as a way to demonstrate the basic principle. When designing the device and selecting the appropriate experiments, the emphasis is placed on simplicity and clarity. Another goal is to provide the device with suitable sensors and measuring system able to quickly obtain data from each ongoing experiment. Then the data should be easily uploaded and subsequently processed providing continuous information about the measured physical quantities. This requires a connection with a PC where the obtained data can be visualized in a graph for further ease of understanding.
