Trapping an unprecedented octacoordinated iron(ii) complex with neutral bis-tetrazolylpyridyl ligands and solvent molecules

Reaction of the ligand Me 2 btp with iron( ii ) strongly depends on the solvent polarity and allows to isolate a solvated octacoordinated complex stable in the solid state but able to interconvert in solution.
