Flavonol and Xanthone Derivatives from Polygala sibirica L.var megalopha Fr.

From Polygala sibirica L.var.megalopha Fr.,9 compounds including a new one(1) were isolated and identified as: ①1,3-dihydroxy-5,6,7-trimethoxyxanthone,② 1,7-dihydroxy-2,3-dimethoxyxanthone,③ 1,3,6,8-tetrahydroxy-2,7-dimethoxyxanthone,④ 1,6,7-trihydroxy-2,3-dimethoxyxanthone,⑤ 5-hydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxy-flavone-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,⑥ 5,3'-dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavone-3-O-[α-L-rhamnosy(→6)]-β-D-gluco-pyranoside,⑦ 5,3'-dihy-droxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavone-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,⑧ salicylic acid,⑨ and polygalitol.Their structures were determined by analysis of their spectroscopic data and chemical properties.
