Comparative Research of Ginsenoside Content in the Extract,Gruffs and Gruffs Press Filtrate of Radix Ginseng

Objective To compare the contents of ginsenoside Rg1,Rb1 and Re in the extract,gruffs and gruffs press filtrate of Radix Ginseng.Methods HPLC was used for the detection of the contents of ginsenoside Rg1,Rb1 and Re in the extract,gruffs and gruffs press filtrate of Radix Ginseng.Results The contents of ginsenoside Rg1,Rb1 and Re in the gruffs press filtrate were similar to those in the extract(P0.05),but was lower in the gruffs than those in the extract and gruffs press filtrate of Radix Ginseng(P0.01),and account for 20% of the extractive of Radix Ginseng.Conclusion Both gruffs press filtrate and gruffs of Radix Ginseng include higher contents of ginsenoside Rg1,Rb1 and Re.It is suggested that gruffs press filtrate should be used together with the extract of herbs,and the gruffs can be further utilized.
