Progress Report on the Evaluation of RPM Pipe

The basic properties of reinforced‐plastic‐mortar pipe are being determined by lab and field studies of burst, creep, and stiffness after exposure to environments of acid, alkali, synthetic‐soil extract, tap water, and distilled water as part of a government‐industry cooperative study. Scaling factors are being developed from the test results on 12‐, 24‐, 36‐, and 48‐in. Class 60 pressure pipe.
