Diagnostice value of HRCT for ossicular chain disease

Objective:To explore the diagnostice value of high resolution CT(HRCT) for ossicular chain disease in otitis media.Methods: The clinical datas of otitis media patients undergone mastoidotympanectomy were retrospective analysis,and the preoperative HRCT diagnosis and the findings on operation were comparative analyzed.Results: The Kappa value of the coincidence between HRCT diagnosis and the findings on operation was 0.5950 for malleus,0.8286 for incus,0.7274 for superstructure of stapes,0.5645 for joint of malleus-incus,0.6571 for joint of incus-stapes.Conclusion: HRCT can identify the pathological changes of middle ear mastoid process and abnormal of anatomic structure,help to select the paths and methods of operation,and consult for security and prognostic evaluating of operation.
