Coal characteristic of absorbing floating-state oxygen and analysis on the reason of coal spontaneous combustion

The ability of coal spontaneous combustion is just one of the inherent characteristics of coal. Different coal sort or different environmental terms of coal spontaneous combustion can cause different behavior of coal spontaneous combustion. Based on coal-oxygen complex action theory which is acknowledged extensively, the ability of absorbing floating-oxygen of several coal samples are measured with ZRJ-1 apparatus for measuring the characteristic of coal spontaneous combustion in this paper; Then the coal spontaneous combustion tendentiousness grade can be divided according to the quantity of oxygen- absorption and the relevant regulations. Meanwhile the quantity of oxygen-absorption of several coal samples in Wu_(9-10) coal seam from No.10 coal mine of Pingdingshan Coal Co. Ltd are compared vertically and the quantity of oxygen-absorption of several coal samples from different mining areas are compared horizontally, then the difference between them are compared and analyzed. But considering that the spontaneous combustion of coal is a very complicated course related to the physics and chemistry change,Its dangerous degree of coal spontaneous combustion is decided by many factors such as coal inherent characteristics, environmental parameter and so on. So after appraising the grade of coal spontaneous combustion tendentiousness , the concrete reason of coal spontaneous combustion of several coal samples can be educed combining concrete complexions. The results of the present research prove that the quantity of oxygen-absorption of anthracite is greater than that of bituminous coal; the quantity of absorbing flowing-state oxygen relates to the volatile matter of coal, but the different law presents as the different metamorphous degree; it is very great influence on coal spontaneous combustion in the existence of the active material in the anthracite.
