In order to achieve rapid start-up of a wastewater treatment plant under low temperature,a practical application study on bioaugmentation technology was carried out at Harbin,Tai Ping sewage treatment plant for the first time.The results showed that co-addition of activated bacterium solution,bio-preparation together with bio-sludge and multiple culture of bacterium under ambient temperature of 10 ℃ and sewage temperature of 14 ℃ had efficiently overcome the negative effects of low temperature,low loading,poor nutrition and sewage quantity fluctuation etc.After treatment,the average concentration of COD,NH4+-N and SS were decreased from 210 mg/L,37.4 mg/L and 218 mg/L to 44 mg/L,2.3 mg/L and 16.6 mg/L respectively,the effluent quality preceded the design parameters.Therefore,the engineering application of bioaugmentation technology during rapid start-up of a sewage treatment plant under low temperature was successful and worthy of popularization.
