Preparation and Quality Control of Minoxidil Solution

Objective: To prepare the minoxidil solution and to determine content of minoxidil in minoxidil solution.Method: Ultraviolet spectrophotometry was used with detection wave length at 286 nm,to determine content of minoxidil in minoxidil solution.Results: The method was linear within the range of 4-16μg·mL-1,and its regression equation was C=17.40A-0.1051,γ=1.0000;its average recovery was 99.8% and RSD was 0.74%.Conclusion: The method is simple,sensitive and reliable,which can be used in quality control of minoxidil solution.
