Determination of Evodiamine and Rutaecarpine in Fructus Evodiae by HPLC

Objective:A simple and speedy high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method with UV detection was es- tablished to determine the evodiamine and rutaecarpine in Fmctus Evodiae.Method:The samples were injected into the sampling valve and dealt with ultrasonic without tedious preconditioning.Chromatographic conditions included mobile phase acenitrile-H2O-acetate acid (51 :48:0.1),detecting wavelength at 225 nm.Results:Evodiamine and rutaecarpine was separated successfully.The mean recov- eries of evodiamine and rutaecarpine were 95.8% and 96.0%,respectively.The results from real samples were satisfactory.Conclusion: This method is relatively simple,speedy and accurate,and is suitable for the routine analysis and quality control ofFructus Evodiae.
