Research on Relation between Occupational Stress and Burnout of Sports Coach in China

Applied both sources of stress scale and MBI Scale ,an investigation on the situation and relation between occupational stress and its burnout is made on 278 athletic sports coaches in Shandong province.The result showed that coach occupational stress factors come from six areas:work-family conflict,organizational structure and atmosphere,the work of the task itself,career development and interpersonal relationship,the overall pressure is slightly above the moderate level.Burnout tends to moderate the level of their career,but the individual level has been more noticeable.There was a correlation between coach occupational stressors and burnout.Stressors in the work-family conflict,career development have a strong predictive power of emotional exhaustion.Stressors in the work of the task itself,the organizational structure and atmosphere have a strong predictive power of depersonalization.Stressors on the career development and athlete factors have a strong sense of achievement of low predictive power.The stressor on the interpersonal relationships has not directly affected the burnout.It may be variable effects of indirect effects on job burnout through other intervening,and requires further verification and consideration.
