Behavior of herbicide butachlor in environment

The herbicide butachlor [ N-(buoxymethyl)-2-chloro-N-(2,6-diethyphenyl) acetamide] is one of the most important herbicides at present. Physical and chemical characters of butachlor are described. The transference, sorption and microorganism degradation of butachlor in soil and water are summarized. The toxicity and operational mechanism to animal and plant, the proceeding of butachlor analysis are reviewed.
