Parafirmaldehyoli Composita Paste Used to Treat 95 Old Patients With Probing Pain in Root Canal After Pulp Extirpation

Objective To research the effect of Parafirmaldehyoli Composita Paste on treating 95 old patients with pulpitis and its probing pain in root canal after pulp extirpation.Method 189 cases of the old patients(every patient has one tooth with probing pain in root canal)were randomly drawn and divided into two groups: experimental group,95 cases,using watchmaker broach to guide appropriate amount of Parafirmaldehyoli Composita Paste to root canal;control group,94 cases,after further pulp extirpation,cotton twist soaking in formaldehyde cresol formocresol(FC) was put in root canal,temporary seal up the opening of the teeth chamber and research,experimental group for 15 days,control group for 5 days.If there is probing pain in root canal for further check,do as above and research again.In both groups 15 days is a course of treatment.Their effectiveness is decided according to criterion. Result Effective rate of experiment group is 94.74%.Effective rate of control group is 56.38%.There are highly significant difference by statistical analysis(P0.005).Conclusion The effect of Parafirmaldehyoli Composita Paste on treating probing pain in root canal is better than that of formaldehyde cresol formocresol.
