摘要
This study aims to propose a new evaluation method of fuel ignitability for various combustion methods and various fuels using a constant-volume vessel. As the initial step of the research, ignition delays of binary-component fuels were measured under several ambient conditions. The results show that ignition delays have lower sensitivity to ambient temperature for the fuels which contain lower-boiling-point components compared with reference fuels for cetane number. Change in fuel composition provides complicated influence on ambient pressure dependency of ignition delays at a fixed ambient temperature.
