Operational Control, Monitoring and Diagnostics of the Technical Condition of Steam Turbine Installations of Thermal Power Plants

The article presents the results of the analysis of modern requirements of operational control, monitoring and approaches to the implementation of diagnostics of the technical condition of steam turbine installations of thermal power plants. The experience of implementing monitoring and diagnostics systems at domestic thermal power plants with steam turbines of various types, including automatic continuous monitoring systems, is presented. The advantages of diagnostic methods for detecting mechanical damage to power equipment at the early stages of their occurrence and development are shown. A mathematical model for assessing the technical condition based on the operational characteristics of steam turbines of thermal power plants has been developed. Revealed that methods for the continuous control of process parameters allow evaluating the performance of equipment on an actual technical condition and to increase operating efficiency of steam turbines.
