Correlation between persistent-luminescence and mechano-luminescence of Sm3+ doped YPO4

Herein, it was demonstrated that the persistent luminescence and mechanoluminescence of YPO 4 :Sm 3+ , although generated under different external stimuli, are produced from the same trapped charge carriers.
