In accordance with the characteristics between the electrical properties of gasoline and its compositions, it has been developed to determine the olefin and aromatic hydrocarbon content in gasoline by dielectric spectrum. Olefin hydrocarbon and aromatic hydrocarbon of thirty gasoline samples from different petroleum storage depots and service stations have been predicted by using full cross validation test. The results can satisfy the standard method's error demand for olefin hydrocarbon and aromatic hydrocarbon analysis. The method is fast, simple and convenient, and is suitable for fast testing olefin and aromatic content in gasoline.
