The cooling curves of water and PAG at different temperature and concentration were tested by KHR-02.The curves were analysed.The results show that the influence of water's temperature on the cooling capacity was realized by extending the time of steam film during quenching at 850 ℃or 500 ℃.The max cooling speed didn't reduced until the temperature of water was above 60 ℃ during quenching at 500 ℃.The concentration of PAG is one of the chief factors which influenced the cooling capacity of PAG.Because the cooling speed rate of PAG could be controlled by its concentration and the cooling process didn't have steam film stage when work quenched at 500 ℃,it would be better to control distortion of aluminium alloy during quenching process.
