Distribution Characteristics of Nitrogen and Phosphorus in the Sediments of Shanghai Expo Area

Nitrogen,phosphorus,sulphide and organic matter(OM) in sediments of the water body of Shanghai Expo Area are studied.Mean concentration of sulphide,OM,ammonia nitrogen,nitrite nitrogen,nitrate nitrogen,TN,AAP and TP are(4.51±0.12)mg/kg,(1.73±0.01)%,(206.6±1.2)mg/kg,(0.041±0.001)mg/kg,(0.066±0.002)mg/kg,(0.228±0.002)%,(192.3±0.5)mg/kg and(0.247±0.001)% respectively.The organic index,used to evaluate pollution in the sediments,is 0.299±0.005.Results showed that the pollution is serious relatively.
