Novel space refers to the solid ground which the characters depend on to exist. In traditional novel, the novel space is the setting and surrounding factors, and the writer usually uses the novel space to express the choice of surrounding and the concentration of setting. In modern novel, the novel space displays the psychological repetition and the super imagination to the setting and surrounding. When a writer utilizes the space, he or she mostly expresses the repetition of the historical space, the present space and the future space which are related to the psychological emotion of characters. The traditional space is the important basis which the character exists, while the modern space is one of the necessary elements which the psychology and imagination of characters form, subsist and develop.
