LiFePO4/C composite cathode materials were synthesized by a novel carbothermal reduction method using glucose as a carbon resource. The effects of calcination temperature, calcination time and carbon content on the electrochemical properties of LiFePO4 were investigated. The results showed that LiFePO4 calcined at 600 ℃ for 24 h with a carbon content of 10% exhibited the best electrochemical performance. The first discharge capacity of LiFePO4 at w(C)=10% were 146 mAh·g-1.The discharge capacity remained 141 mAh·g-1 after 15 cycles.
