Combining β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) with citric acid in single bath for cotton fabric crease resistant finish is studied.Citric acid can connect with both β-cyclodextrin and cellulose as a crosslinking agent,whereas β-cyclodextrin pays a positive role in citric acid crease-resistant finishing.β-cyclodextrin can not only improve the fabric crease-resistant characteristic,but also enhance the whiteness and strength of fabric finished by citric acid markedly.The optimal process of cotton fabric is citric acid 80 g/L,β-CD 80 g/L,sodium hypophosphite 30 g/L,curing at 180 ℃ for 4 min.The result shows that the treated fabric has crease recovery angle 244.7°,strength 439.0 N and whiteness 60.
