New technology of semi-submersible drilling platform construction based on 20,000t gantry crane

In this paper,semi-submersible platform construction methods and integration technology are reviewed,pointing out the production efficiency and safety deficiencies.Summing up the advantages and disadvantages of the construction technology,based on shipbuilding on the ground idea,a new construction process is put forward.With a total lifting capacity of 20,000 tons,the world′s first bridge crane Taisun is the core machine,and the platform construction and outfitting is finished as a huge block,and finally the platform is wholly integrated by the 20,000 tons crane.The technology really realized the idea of shipbuilding on the ground,which reforms the constructing process for Semi-submersible platform and has positive influences and promotion in ocean engineering industry.
