Research on Spot Welding Between Aluminum and Steel Dissimilar Metal for Automobile Body

The development of spot welding methods for joining aluminium/steel like for resistance spot welding,friction stir spot welding,laser spot welding and spot weld bonding was introduced.The process parameter selection is an effective factor in controlling the intermetallic compound.The strength and shortcoming of the different spot weldings in industrial production were discussed.Moreover,the application prospect of the spot welding process of aluminum/steel dissimilar metal bonding in the automobile manufacturing was put forward.
