Research on Insecticidal Activity of Extracts from Common Cnidium Fruit

Four kinds of organic solvent(acetone,petroleum ether,chloroform and ethylacetate) were selected to distill the active material from common cnidium fruit in order to test their insecticidal activity.The experimental results showed that all the four organic solvent had insecticidal effects.Treated for 24 h at the concentrate of 500 g/L,acetone extracts wsa the most efficient,followed by ethylacetate,chloroform,petroleum of which the mortality of cabbage caterpillar were about 95%,90%,60% and 55% respectively.With the increase of the concentration of acetone extracts,the insecticidal activity increased.
