ABSTRACT On the basis of the vortex‐assisted matrix solid‐phase dispersion (VA‐MSPD) extraction technology, a method for determining 13 components in Zhizi Jinhua Pills (ZZJHPs) was established. Combined with the high‐performance liquid chromatography analysis method, the effects of the type of sorbents, the mass ratio of sample to sorbent, the grinding time, the type of eluent, the eluent concentration, the eluent volume, and the vortex time on the dissolution of 13 index components in ZZJHPs were investigated. Among the eight types of sorbents investigated, Ultimate AQ‐C18 showed the best extraction efficiency. The highest signal intensities were achieved under the following optimized extraction conditions: a 1:2 (w/w) sample‐to‐sorbent ratio with Ultimate AQ‐C18, 1‐min mechanical grinding, elution using 2 mL of 80% methanol (v/v), and 3‐min vortex mixing. All 13 target components exhibited excellent linearity ( R 2 ≥ 0.999) in established analytical methods, with average spiked recoveries ( n = 6) ranging from 94.06% to 104.72%. Compared with the traditional ultrasonic‐assisted extraction and heat‐reflux extraction methods, VA‐MSPD method demonstrated the highest detection amount for the 13 target components. It not only significantly reduced the sample volume and solvent consumption but also markedly shortened the extraction time. It offers advantages of being more environmentally friendly, efficient, and low‐solvent consumption. This method can be used for both rapid extraction and qualitative/quantitative analysis of target components in ZZJHPs. This study provides a theoretical basis for applying Ultimate AQ‐C18 in the extraction of 13 compounds in ZZJHPs and its quality analysis.
