摘要
Nutraceuticals are the most common part of daily life. In the last few years, the use of nutraceuticals has increased drastically due to their cost effectiveness and minimal or no side effects. In the recent pandemic situation, the world is moving toward nutraceuticals, such as multivitamin tablets, Nutraceuticals is the combination of nutrition and pharmaceuticals that is categorized in three major parts as nutrients, dietary supplement and herbals. They can be used as food, as well as medicines; Vitamins are also comes under the class of Nutraceuticals as nutrients and classified into two categories as fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins are further classified as vitamins A, D, E, and K. These vitamins are used in treatments of many diseases like cardiovascular (CVS), hemophilia, immunomodulatory, and immunity booster. We may use vitamins as nutraceuticals, which do not show the side effects as frequently as other medicines, and it is been founded that the vitamin has greater medicinal potential than synthetic drugs. It is our need to know deep about vitamins and their nutraceuticals potential, in this chapter, we are focused on fat-soluble vitamins and their potential as nutraceuticals.
