Study on the chemical constituents extracted from Przewalskia tangutica

OBJECTIVE To study the constituents extracted from Przewalskia tangutica Maxim.METHODS The compounds were isolated and purified by silica and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatogaphy.Their structures were identified by spectral analysis.RESULTS Ten compounds were isolated and identified as:hyoscyamine(Ⅰ),scopolamine(Ⅱ),anisodine(Ⅲ),anisodamine(Ⅳ),scopoletin(Ⅴ),tetracosylferulate(Ⅵ),protocatechuic acid(Ⅶ),scopolin(Ⅷ),fabiatrin(Ⅸ) and caffeic acid(Ⅹ).CONCLUSION Compounds Ⅴ-Ⅹ were isolated from Przewalskia tangutica Maxim for the first time.
