Coating stripping methods of coated fabrics

Coating stripping has to be done before doing quantitative analysis on coated fabrics.The common used coating fabrics with polyacrylate(PA),polyurethane(PU) and polyvinyl chloride(PVC) were stripped under different test conditions using 5 different solvents as coating stripping agents.Three stripping agents with stripping effects on different coatings were found,among which tetrahydrofuran was the best one.The coating could be stripped thoroughly with tetrahydrofuran at room temperature for only 5 minutes.15 kinds of fibers which might be damaged by solvents were analyzed,and coating stripping methods of 11 kinds of fibers were found.
