The 2009 Kidney Disease:Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) clinical practice guideline has provided many constructive recommendations and suggestions on induction therapy of kidney transplantation,initial maintenance immunosuppressive medications,long-term maintenance immunosuppressive medications,strategies to reduce drug costs,and monitoring immunosuppressive medications,etc. In this article,we discussed some of our own opinions on immunosuppressive strategies for renal transplant recipients referring to the clinical practice and the guideline,in an attempt to improve the integral level of kidney transplantation management in China.
