Progress in Research of Effect of Silica Fume on the Performance of Cement Concrete

The properties of concrete affected by various factors,especially the active silica fume to add,will be very good to improve its properties and prolong its service life,improves the project quality.The paper summarized the effect of silica fume and mixed admixture containing silica fume upon durability and mechanical properties of concrete.And further studies of the modification of properties of concrete by silica fume were predicted.
