Study on the flocculation of organic suspended matter in ammonia water with polyacrylamide

The flocculation effect is studied with different addition amount and different kinds of polyacrylamide flocculation organic suspended matter in ammonia water.The various flocculation effect is compared through floccule characterization and serum characterization and floccule aggregated extent and the relation curve of floccule volume change rate in ammonia water with flocculation time.The better flocculation way is that 15 mL/L anionic polyacrylamide(molecular weight is 1100 myriad,concentration is 1‰) is added in ammonia water,rotated for 1 min when rotating speed is 140 r/min,and 5 mL/L cationic polyacrylamide(ion activity is 20%~25%,concentration is 1‰) is added in ammonia water,rotated for 5 min when rotating speed is 60 r/min,standed for 1 h.The result showed that the flocculation way of anionic polyacrylamide combined with cationic polyacrylamide could flocculate organic suspended matter in ammonia water better.
