Literary Language in Light of Non-literary Translation

Literary language has a thorny issue for all non-literary translation practitioners.Firmly grounded in practical translation,the paper attempts to foreground the importance of literary translation in translation profession in light of Christiane Nord's translation-oriented text analysis and the underlying functionalist approaches.As a conclusion,corresponding translation strategies are proposed to tackle the problem.
