Myricananone and Myricananadiol: Two New Cyclic ‘Diarylheptanoids’ from the Roots of Myrica nana

Abstract Two new cyclic ‘diarylheptanoids’, myricananone ( 1 ) and myricananadiol ( 2 ), were isolated from the roots of Myrica nana , together with the known compounds myricanol ( 3 ), myricanone ( 4 ), and porson ( 5 ). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods, including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR as well as HR‐ESI‐MS analyses.
