HIGH-FIELD MAGNETIZATION OF COPPER SUBSTITUTED FeAl ALLOYS WITH B2 STRUCTURE

Magnetization measurements at 4.2 K in fields up to 35 T have been made on a series of B2 FeAl1-,CuX alloys with x < 0.35.Arrott plots suggest that ferromagnetism becomes established at x N 0.27.The magnetization is discussed in terms of saturated dusters dispersed in an itinerant matrix.
