On the Modes of Provincial Division during Past Dynasties in China

There is no idea about how to divide provinces though provincial division is a trend at moment.There are three modes of provincial division: mode of division from one province;mode of cutting from two or more than two provinces boundary;mode of maturity of border land exploiture.The experience and lessons of provincial division from Yuan Dynasty show that the mode of division from one province should be the principal mode.
