Stiffness is one of the main considerations in the design of varied-axis NC machine tools. In this paper, by using the method of matrix structural analysis, the static stiffness model are derived from researching BKX-I varied-axis NC machine tool. Based on this model, the stiffness distribution in the workspace of the NC machine tool is analyzed. In addition, the influence of the structural parameters of BKX-I machine tool on stiffness is discussed.
