Objective: To observe the seed structure of scurrula parasitica Linn and the procedure of its in vitro germination. Methods: Cultivated seeds scurrula parasitica Linn in the artificial intelligence climate incubator and observed their morphologic change during the germination process by stereoscope. Result: It had a high germination rate of 92. 4%. Radicle firstly broke out of micropyle with two horn-like fleshy leuphyllas and hypocotyledonary axis--radicle developed into chuck structure. About two months later, seedlings consumed the endosperm and began to die. Conclusion: Scurrula parasitica seeds could germinate without host plants, and died of using up endosperm.
