Clinic analysis of the access diffculties during rigid transurethral ureteroscopy(Reports of 66 cases)

Objective:To analysis the causes of difficult access during rigid transurethral ureteroscopy and their management.Methods:Totally 1 256 case of rigid transurethral ureteroscopy were evaluated retrospectively.Of which,difficult accesse was encountered in 66 cases.Results:Among 66 cases,6 achieved success with rotation skill,53 achieved success by changing position of patient and dilating the ureter,2 tranfered to opening surgery,and 5 inserted ureter catheter and transferred to ESWL.Conclusions:Difficult access to ureter is not rare,we should be familiar with the anatomy of ureter and master the techniques of operation.
